Bar Stools
Step by step instructions on making a modern style bar stool. Plans come in imperial and metric measurements and are very detailed and easy to read.
This modern bar stool is a great stylish project for any home with a bar that’s 41" to 43" (1041mm to 1092mm) tall. We will be making just a bar stool with a seat height of 31¼" (794mm). I’m using material that’s 1" (25mm) thick for the legs. Any hardwood with straight grain at that thickness will be sturdy enough for these tall stools. This project assumes you have basic woodworking experience and a way to reinforce joints either with dowels or floating tenons. The easiest and cheapest way to do that is with a doweling jig. For the seat, you can follow along with the plans or add your own touch by carving a profile or adding a cushion.
